Katherine began her career in test kitchens working for brands like Coastal Living, Southern Living, Real Simple and Food & Wine. She eventually transitioned into managing premium brand marketing initiatives, partnering with well-known hospitality leaders such as The MICHELIN Guide, Condé Nast, The James Beard Foundation, American Express, Hedley & Bennett and Le Creuset. As her reputation grew as a project manager and event planner, Katherine expanded her professional services to include travel arrangements. With her experience in luxury hospitality and personal passion for all things travel, Katherine founded Conviva Travel Club.

After spending the last five years in the Bay Area, she now lives in Los Angeles with her husband and pup Penny. She’s happiest spending a weekend away in Big Sur or road tripping through Santa Barbara (bonus points for a stop in the Santa Ynez Valley)!

FAVORITE MEAL WHILE TRAVELING:

It’s a tie— savoring a simple spaghetti pomodoro in Ischia with my husband, while relaxing poolside in fluffy white robes after a thermal spa treatment. Equally memorable was the Omakase experience at Wild Coast Sushi in Big Sur. After a ‘surprise’ glamping weekend, we enjoyed fresh sushi with a breathtaking view of the setting sun over Highway 1 and the Pacific Ocean.

TOP TRAVEL TIPS:

  • Book a spa day the day after your arrival – you’ll be amazed how this helps you to acclimate and reset for the adventures ahead.
  • Pre-plan your transportation. This can turn a "trip" into a "vacation."
  • Don't overbook your days. Let your travel advisor pace your activities so have time to explore, or relax – it all comes down to your travel preferences!
  • La Fantasie in Paris
  • The Ned in London
  • Hôtel du Couvent in Nice
